For the fourth year running, Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus are organising the annual World Aids Day charity concert at St Mary’s Church, on St. James Street, on Thursday 1st December at 7:30pm.

This year we will be joined by the Rainbow Chorus, the long-standing, and only, LGBT chorus in the city; Resound, Brighton & Hove’s newest male voice ensemble; Qukulele, the LGBT ukulele band; and highly-acclaimed soprano, Red Gray.

The concert, with a varied musical repertoire, will provide an opportunity to reflect on the losses many have suffered, as well inspiring those present to celebrate people surviving and fighting HIV and AIDS. The concert will start straight after the annual candlelit vigil at the Aids Memorial in New Steine Gardens, 2 minutes away from St Mary’s Church.

Sussex BeaconAs in previous years, all performers are donating their time for free and the entire profit of the evening (which last year raised almost £1,000) will be donated to The Sussex Beacon to help with its Emergency Appeal to raise £150,000 to prevent their Inpatient Department from closure.

Tickets are £8, available from Dome Box Office 01273 709 709 and The Sussex Beacon Charity Shops and on the door.
