20th February 2014
For immediate release.

Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus have announced that their “Pull A Cracker” Christmas show raised a staggering £5,713.40 for the Sussex Beacon, who offer specialist care and support for men, women and families affected by HIV.

For the third year running, the choir made a triumphant return to the Brighton Dome for a packed-out festive December evening. This year they were joined on stage by the fabulous actress Claire Sweeney and supported by their new sponsor Co-Operative Funeralcare.

Paul Charlton, Chairman of Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus said:

“Thanks so much to everyone for your continued support. We really pulled out all the stops this year to deliver as entertaining a show as we could! We also have a number of other exciting plans that we hope to announce in the near future, and are delighted to once again to help raise money for such a worthy local cause.”

Their next show “Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus: Nautical But Nice” will take place as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival on May 2nd & 3rd at St George’s Church in Kemptown, Brighton. Tickets and info will be available via their website www.brightongmc.org soon.

Also for your diaries, the Chorus will be holding its annual Jamboree – offering fun, games and home-baked cakes – at the Brighton Tavern on Saturday April 19th between 11am and 3pm. All are welcome!

In the meantime, if you are considering joining Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus, they are always interested in hearing from prospective new members (irrespective of their running ability!) so please email Tom on membership@brightongmc.org
