Our Chair Daniel, Secretary Erik, and Chorus Director Joe proudly represented Brighton and Hove at the Various Voices Brussels Rendezvous!
What an incredible weekend it was! Highlights included a tour of the venues and spaces for the 2026 festival such as the Henry Le Bœuf Hall, designed by Victor Horta, a queer city tour, a festival overview presentation by Artistic Director Simon Paco, and the spectacular concert, Various Voices Rising. A fabulous opener to herald the upcoming Various Voices Choir Festival in 2026, hosted by Sing Out Brussels, for which Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus is already registered to take part.
In addition, Legato brought choir leaders from across Europe together for the inaugural Leaders College. Sessions focused on music, choir management, and sharing challenges and success stories. This event marks another step towards achieving Legato’s dream of Singing for Equality, creating a safe choir space for LGBTQ+ people in every city across Europe.
