What an amazing result! This really was one of the toughest categories of the night with over 20 organisations nominated (including BLAGSS with over 600 members and Bear Patrol with over 250 members). It is a real testament to all our efforts that enough people in the local community voted for us to win the highly coveted Runner Up Award.
Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us, to everyone that took part in the event, and particularly to GScene magazine and all the other organisers for arranging what turned out to be an inspirational and fun packed night.
The winner of the category was Bear Patrol.
Also at the Golden Handbags Awards 2012, the award for Brighton’s Favourite Voluntary Sector and HIV Organisation was won by The Sussex Beacon, whom we are very proud to have helped last year by raising an incredible £5,143.66 at our Christmas 2011 concert ‘Pull A Cracker’. Heartfelt congratulations to an amazing and worthy winner!
